Мне кажется, что это утка.

Осенью мы познакомимся с новой маркой – The Row, дизайнерами которой являются сестры Олсен.

The Row - полноценная люксовая марка с соответствующей ценовой политикой.

К примеру, черные шубы из тосканского ягненка будут стоить от $3220, кашемировые смокинги с рукавом три четверти от $1700, платья от $875, брюки от $360 (по данным журнала WWD).

Что касается стиля, то он лишь отдаленно напоминает гардероб Мери-Кейт и Эшли Олсен, в нем присутствует дух молодости и расслабленное настроение, эдакая Balenciaga в формате casual. Любимых мешковатых вещей сестер нет вовсе, а вот четкие узкие силуэты представлены в изобилии.

Сестры Олсен намерены заниматься маркой серьезно, они как следят за визуальной частью, так и отвечают за продвижение The Row.

Как стало известно FashionTime, в данный момент за марку борются два крупных магазина Москвы. Будет ли кто из них представлять марку The Row эксклюзивно или мы сможем купить вещи от Олсен в двух местах, покажет время.

Наверное, самым богатым в мире самостоятельным близнецам Мэри-Кейт и Эшли Олсен исполнился 21 год, и они теперь абсолютно совершеннолетние. Mka : Yes. We hope your fans like our products

Do you have the same friends ?

Mk : We have same friends but some of my friends are
not friends with Ashley. It's importent for us that we have
time to be with our friends and family even though we
are busy taking care of our career.

How is a normal day in your life ?

Mk : All our day's are differents. Sometimes i have to go to
some business-meetings or auditions. Other day's i have to
learn my sricps or go to drama classes. And i love Yoga.

A : My life is just like other students. I go to classes and then
i go home and do my homework. And sometimes business-meetings
too. When it's summer i love to just relax in my house in Los Angeles
with friends , chill at the pool and grill.

What movie are you most happy about ?

A : I have been happy making about all the movies and all the reasons are
different. The one i really enjoyed making was "Holiday in the Sun"
we made in the Bahama-islands. Mary-Kate and i had really fun
and we enjoy that we didn't have to go to school. And there was tons
of hot guy's there that were a little older than us. We were with them
everyday for 5 weeks.

Mk : "When in Rome" was one of my best experiment. I loved Italia.
And it was so great living there for a whole month as we were filming
there. My co-star Michaelangelo was great. He made me exited everyday
to film the movie. I was so in love with him.

Can you guy's sing and who is your favorite singers ?

A : I only sing in the shower. I got a really cool stero as a christmas
gift , so i have heard tons of albums lately. Van Morrison , Crosby , Stills and Nash
and the Rolling Stones.

Mk : My ipod is full of music by Pearl Jam , U2 , The Killers
and Oasis just to so say few.

What is your favorite color ?

A : Blue
Mk : Red

What designer/clothes do you like ?

A : Imitation of Christ , Marni , Christian Louboutin.

Mk : Comme de Garcons , Calvin Klein and Marc Jacobs.

Do you ever think about how your life would be if your were
not famous ?

Mk : We have never tried anything but being famous. So it's hard
imagine how it would be.

Are you soon gonna make a new movie ?

Mk : I had a little role in "Factory Girl" with Sienna Miller and
Guy Pierce. I enjoyed working with them

As I prepare for my meeting with Ashley Olsen at the Culver City offices of Dualstar Entertainment, the billion-dollar company she runs with her sister Mary-Kate, I get a call from one of her people confirming the plan. "Oh," the person says, "and Ashley wonders if you want a Starbucks?"

I cannot tell if this is high wit on Olsen's part; surely she must know that the image of her carrying around a massive Venti has achieved iconic significances in the culture. She is, after all, a very famous person, someone we've known virtually all her life, who nonetheless has maintained a bubble of mystique around her -- what, beyond the caffeine fixation, do we really know Ashley Olsen?

For one, I thought I knew her to be an eccentric dresser, a child of fame so intent on hiding in plain sight, she'd wear eight crazy layers where a simple cardigan would suffice. So when we finally met her at her serene corporate headquarters (candles burning in one office, a Buddha statue in the hall), I'm surprised to find Olsen looking the epitome of chic, swaddled in her sheer white tee (black bra visible) under a chocolate-brown leather jacket, a stretchy black mini outlining her curvy butt, and a black patent-leather Alaia belt shaped like bat wings, cinching her like a wasp. Her perfectly turned, tan legs resolve in a pair of sky-high Louboutin pumps. And on her arm, a vintage Fendi bag she could probably fit inside. "The next one I want to get is the crocodile Birkin, but that won't be for a while. Crocodile is my fa-vorite!" she says, quietly singsonging that last word.

Ashley climbs into a swivel chair behind a big desk and gets on a conference call with her publicity team in New York, which is chiefly concerned with rolling out the second season of the Olsens' upscale clothing line, The Row, and the debut of their contemporary collection, Elizabeth and James, so named for their siblings. Samples from The Row had been sent to Lauren Hutton; apparently, someone says, she loved them so much she slept in them. "Yeah, she told me," Ashley says, pulling at her streaky blonde bangs, examining the ends. "She was at the top of my list from the very beginning of who I'd want to be seen in it."

The gaze from Ashley's melancholy gray eyes cuts to the phone as one of her publicists runs thorugh the list of press requests. "If we're talking about another photo shoot, I'm out," she says, playing with her rings -- a diamond-studded silver skull and the Fred Leighton wedding ring from the movie Marie Antoinette that she waers on her index finger, a birthday gift from Mary-Kate. "I can't do it. We don't want to be out there too much at once. And I know you guys will all beg to differ, but that's how I feel."

Ashley's voice is small -- almost squeaky -- yet it slices through the chatter like steel. At 21, she is a remarkably clear and focused executive, not at all the type to be talked into things, particularly when they involved public appearances. Before the conference call, Ashley was playing with her brand-new BlackBerry, when she suddenly stiffened, realizing it had a built-in camera. "I hate camera phones," she said. "They make me anxious." If one were to think of a lifetime of lenses in her face had injured her to them, one would be wrong.

After several back-and-forths, the team in New York signs off, at which point Ashley stands, laces her childlike fingers, and gives them a stretch, palms out, until they crack. "Not a good way to start the day," she says with an exhausted smile and a shimmy of her haunches as she tugs her skirt into place. "Fifteen women on the phone at once. Jesus!"

She settles into another office where her colleague Tiffany Bensley wants to show her some fabric samples. "This one is dope," Ashley says dreamily, running her fingers over a smoky-hued square of rabbit fur. Then she lays a lambskin across her lap and tests its stretchiness. "I want to see the belly because I think it would look great across the back of the jacket."

Bensley presents her with a design for the label that will be sewn into the clothes for The Row. Examining it, Ashley says the dimensions should be reduced by 30 percent. Then Bensley offers a swatch of suede with an ingeniously fringed surface. Ashley lunged for it, buries her face in it. Rapture. "This would make the sickest jacket," she says, wrapping the piece around her arm. "Mary-Kate is gonna shit herself when she sees this."

When the idea of putting Ashley Olsen on our cover first came-up, I didn't get it. I"d watched the sitcom Full House plenty of times, in which she and her sister collectively played a child with a curiously husky voice and a troll doll's waxy, wide-eyed look of wonderment, uttering punchlines they couldn't possibly have understood. Years later I grew vaguely aware that they'd become the joint face of a tentacular empire generating Gates-size dollars in the sale of tween merch, from dolls to toothpaste. Then came the countdown on various horny websites to the day the girls would turn 18, with its rancid intimidations of a kind of gleeful, pop-culturally sanctioned pedophilia. Ashley and Mary-Kate were, after all, that fetishized thing, twins -- tiny, hot fraternal ones who happened to look identical.

This was the dawn of their NYU years, and the endless tabloid shots of them skulking around the urban campus wearing floppy hats, goggle-like sunglasses, and willy-nilly layers of granny fabric. Were they daft? Incognito? As desperate and damaged as Paris and Co., with whom they were frequently linked in the gossip columns? They looked vulnerable. Spooked. Spooky. Just these odd, fragile little creatures. So -- an Olsen twin on our cover? Please. I figured Ashley for a Michael Jackson-style cautionary tale. I couldn't have been more wrong.

For starters, her aesthetic is genuine and formidable; she's the type who could fashion a dinner napkin into something worthy of couture in, like, nine seconds. That black mini she's wearing? It's actually a Wolford bodysuit pulled down -- she shows me the strappy part tucked in around her waist, under her shirt. Many items in both The Row and Elizabeth and James are inspired by quirky pieces she or Mary-Kate found in places like the thrift stores of Paris. Funny how girls who become avatars of plasticky newness and youth are really quite old-school; Ashley's not computer-savvy, almost proudly so; she's a fan of rock veterans like Bob Dylan and Van Morrison; and she carries business cards around in a vintage cigarette case. To say the least, she and Mary-Kate have an eye. And a passion.

But in the world of fashion, they also have a bit of an image problem. The girls became forces under the tutelage of lawyer Robert Thorne, who started Dualstar with them when they were only 6 and masterminded wildly lucrative ventures like their clothing partnership with Wal-Mart, their cutesy adventure videos, and their detective-book series. Ashley and Mary-Kate were reportedly millionaires by age 9, a commercial juggernaut -- the very essence of mass. And a far cry from what they're going for now.

Cue the skeptics: In a New York Times article last June, designer Phillip Lim implied there was something unfair about celebrities like Ashley and Mary-Kate getting into the contemporary market, making it that much harder for "real" designers who lack their fame and resources. "He wrote a letter the next day," Ashley is quick to note. "He was like, 'You know, I was completely misquoted. I respect you guys more than anything, just keep kicking ass.'"

Three years ago, after turning 18, Ashley and Mary-Kate bought out Thorne (as well as their low-key, unSvengali-ish parents) and took sole control of Dualstar. Although Ashley credits Thorne with playing an enormous role in their success, she also says, "Mary-Kate and I never really wanted our names on a bunch of different things. It wasn't us -- it never felt like us." For the first time in their lives, they were in charge of their own image, tapping a sensibility, a side of themselves, the world never knew existed.

Around 1 P.M., Ashley leave sher offices for the factory in downtown L.A. where The Row samples are made. A fierce pair of Tom Ford aviators in place, she walks to her black Mercedes G55 AMG -- "a tank," she calls it. (She used to drive a Cadillac de Ville but she prefers the Mercedes because "I feel safer in it.") And suddenly she starts to scurry, having spotted a central-casting paparazzo across the way in a beat-up white sedan with the front bumper hanging off. Ashley hops up into the driver's seat, lights up a cigarette, and makes for the freeway -- the sedan tailing her at a furtive distance the entire way. The paparazzi have been her lifelong bane. Ealier, Ashley told it's the reason she wears bras: Much as she'd prefer to go without under her favorite spare, filmy sheaths, the photogs would have a field day.

"I love driving," she says, behind the wheel now, "but sometimes I'm not too good with it because I spend too much time looking in the rearview mirror if I know I'm being followed. You know respond like, 'Oh, there's paparazzi.' It's more like, 'There's a man, and he's gonna attack me.' That's how your body responds." She flicks her cigarette butt out the window. As she pulls into the factory parking lot, the paparazzo rolls to stop outside when she's done, he'll follow her home.

Inside the factory, crammed with bolts of cloth, sewing machines, and wardrobe dummies, Ashley strokes, tucks, tweaks, and takes the meature of a fit model in a sleek stretch-leather mini, a miraculously simple little back dress -- pulling her hair back in to a chaotic knot while whispering instructions to the seamstress like, "Increase the shoulder seam three-quarters" and "It has to be tight enough so that her crack doesn't show when she bends over." It's hard to picture her enjoying anything more. Nothing flaky or diva-like about it -- she just really loves doing this work.

"I live a very normal life -- I have friends; I've always gone to school. The part that's not normal is that I've been working since I was 9 months old, but at the same time, it's completely normal to me," Ashley tells me over a plate of raw vegetables and hummus and a bowl of popcorn drizzled with truffle oil. We're sitting by the rooftop poool at Soho House in New York City, nine days after meeting in L.A. "I used to struggle with it more because I used to take things more personally. When I was kind of 16 to 18, I couldn't get out of the weeklies. When I came to [NYU], it was really tough for the first couple of months because I couldn't show up to some classes, because there'd be paparazzi outside." Once, a student protesting Wal-Mart put up flyers everywhere that said, "Mary-Kate and Ashley support child labor." "So we couldn't go to school for a week." She has yet to graduate.

Everything about them was scrutinized, spun, served up for comic ofdder -- even the eating disorder Mary-kate was treated for two years ago. "That situation was more about how destructive the media can be to a person emotionally, to their identity, their public persona," Ashley says. "It's really sick." Their love lives have been a public parlor game; Ashley admits to having a newish boyfriend and delights in no one knowing who he is.

Of course, the twin factor is at the heart of the fascination -- Ashley confirms that there is something almost otherworldly about it. "our bond is really beyond words," she says, inscrutable behind the Tom Fords. "I know when she's hurting, I know when she's going through something, I know when she's happy -- whether I"m with her or not, I know. We both carry the weight of each other. When she's doing really well, maybe I'm not doing so well. It's weird that we're never at the same place -- we just kind of balance each other out."

And yet, a subtle uncoupling might be underway. For the most part, they don't appear together on magazine covers anymore, and they're actively pursuing their own film projects. (Currently, Mary-Kate has a role on Showtime's Weeds.) They're also sharing what they've learned: The sisters currently have licensing deal with their very Olsen-like twins, Dylan and Cole Sprouse, stars of The Suite Life of Zach & Cody, to whom they've passed along some advice -- develop individual identities sooner rather than later. "The more the public can view you separately," Ashley notes, "the easier it will be for your future."

Despite the bisque-perfect features, at times like this she can seem oddly world-weary. "Listen," Ashley muses, "I know what my life will be like when I"m dead. I want to make sure my family's taken care of. I have my will; I know where everything's going."

Yes, it's uniquely warping, being a child s tar, carrying that almost existential burden of knowing the public doesn't particularly want you to grow up. It's no wonder, then, that when Ashley and Mary-Kate made it to the watershed age of 21 last June, they really celebrated -- with their near-and-dears at L.A.'s Chateau Marmont. Ashley, who hates public speaking, even gave an emotional speech. "I mean, I used to cry every year on my birthday," she says, "like, Oh my God, I'm getting older! But this was the first year I had the best time. I was excited."

She reached a very cool place, I suggest -- doing work she's rather brilliant at, ready to give the world a glimpse of the real her, poised to shrug off the ill-fitting tween-queen mantle for good. It's going to be great, I say -- I can picture it.

"Don't tell me," Ashely says and laughs, equal parts imp and old soul. "Let me be surprised."

А мне Мэри-Кейт здорово понравилась в фильме "мгновения нью-йорка". Жаль что это всего лишь игра, что в реальной жизни она не такая как в кино:stink:

Ну что я думаю о них... Они симпотичные, я бы даже сказала красивые, у них такие милые улыбки. Среди фоток были и такие, где они выглядели "не очень", но это можно понять. Такие фотки можно сделать с каждым из нас, какими бы красивыми мы не были.. Ну например сфоткав нас на утро 1 января:rofl: . Только мы никому не нужны чтоб такие фотки делать, а за ними постоянно ведется охота, куча папараци, которых я считаю просто паразитами(так как они живут за счет других людей), которые желают срубить бабла на таких вот фотках, ну и у них получается их делать...

Стиль одежды в жизни мне их не нравится совсем, особенно не нравится красная помада, она делает из симпотичных девчонок каких-то... не буду говорить кого...Я вообще далека от моды, сама ношу джинсы и футболку, вот этот стиль одежды мне близок. Кстати у меня есть футболка металлики, точно такая же, как была на героине Мери-Кейт в фильме "Мгновения Нью-Йорка". Вообще образ жизни ее героини Рокси похож чем-то на мой, поэтому она мне понравилась в фильме, а тут видишь, что в реальности, к сожалению, она совсем другая:resent:

Как тут верно было замечено - деньги портят людей, а у них денег много. Но тем не менее я не думаю что они счастливы... Куча папараци которая везде тебя преследует в желании сделать хорошую фотку и продать ее, а куча фанатов все это дело поддерживает и хочет знать все о них... Фактически их жизнь это реалити шоу. Ты не можешь нормально пройтись по улице, сходить в ресторан... Ну разве это жизнь? Да предложили бы мне хоть 500 миллионов долларов,я бы не согласилась так жить....

Во всяком случае в кино они мне нравятся, так что не буду копаться в их жизни, смотреть все эти фотки, читать интервью... Просто жду новых фильмов с их участием, если они конечно будут:yes3:

Да нет, часто лезут и в личную жизнь. Например, кто-то из голливудских звезд начинает встречаться с кем-то, это сразу окажется в газетах, даже если они этого не хотели. Папарацци везде... Папарацци отравляют жизнь многим звездам, за счет этого и живут... Мне бы не понравилось, если бы мне постоянно тыкали в лицо камеру, пусть даже бы не лезли в личную жизнь.. Да и вообще, ну по большому счету, какое кому дело до их личной жизни? Ведь личная жизнь она на то и личная жизнь... Вообще в реальной жизни это чужие люди, ты их не знаешь, они тебя не знают, вы живете в разных уголках планеты... А какое может быть дело до личной жизни человека, которого ты знать не знаешь? Мне лично не понятно...

Тебе бы хотелось посмотреть в чем они дома ходят, но если они не хотят это показывать - их полное право... А фотографировать их без их согласия и срубать на этих фотках деньги - по-моему свинство... Они еще дети, еще институт то не окончили, у них вся жизнь впереди, они занимаются любимым делом... И че, как только они знакомятся с парнем, им в деревню переезжать чтоб не доставали? Папараци им не платят не за какие вечеринки... К тому же фоткают их не только на вечеринках. То что они делают - законно, но есть еще нормы морали, которые в законе не прописаны, но люди порядочные никогда не будут их нарушать. А чтобы говорить о том, что в папараци ничего ужасного нет, тебе сначала надо это дело испробовать.... Как можно судить сидя в кресле и даже не имея представления об этом?

Госпади, да о чём вы говорите!! Папарацци такие же люди, они работают для СМИ. А звездуны должны понимать, что интерес народа к ним, растёт именно за их счёт. Что, касаемо Ника и Ванессы Минилло:они прекрасно понимают, что сейчас они вообще не интересны! вот и предумали этот пиар ход на балконе, и то что они не заметили папарацци-это бред!

In a dark corner of Manhattan's Gramercy Park Hotel, Mary-Kate Olsen sits alone smoking Marlboro Reds. Her blue eyes are the size of salad plates, her lips almost too large for her face. A black fedora is perched low over her shock of tangled blond hair. She's impossibly small, her garden-hose legs bottoming out into a pair of ridiculously high black Balenciaga ankle boots. When asked how often she wipes out in those, Olsen cocks a foot out from under the table and laughs agreeably. ''Oh, I fall all the time,'' she says, her little hand ashing her cigarette into a tiny silver pail already filling up with butts. ''But I could be in flats and fall.''

If she looks just like the overaccessorized doll from all her paparazzi shots — here drinking a latte! here wearing a silly scarf! — the surprise, then, is actually hearing her speak. Despite her being half of the Full House duo and the monstrously lucrative Mary-Kate and Ashley franchise, a 21-year-old who, as she'll repeat over and over again, has been working for 21 years, little is really known about Olsen. And if spending an afternoon with her is a trip, her ''evil eye'' rings and bracelets glinting up at you as she tells a story about an insomnia-induced hour of solo interpretive dance in her unfurnished apartment the other night, wait until she gets stoned and straddles Silas on the first of her 10 episodes on Showtime's Weeds (her arc premieres Sept. 17).

''If you look at our career,'' says Olsen, as if sister Ashley was sitting alongside her, ''from 21 years ago to today, it was about entertaining a specific audience. It wasn't about acting. It was about pleasing other people and making kids smile.'' When she was a freshman at NYU (she went for two years and holds out the possibility of returning to graduate), Olsen started taking acting classes, thinking of it for the first time as a creative pursuit instead of a business. Today, she admires young actresses such as Evan Rachel Wood and Ginnifer Goodwin, and hopes to slowly start booking supporting roles in independent movies. (In Jonathan Levine's just-wrapped The Wackness, she plays a young hippie who shares an onscreen kiss with Ben Kingsley, an experience Olsen calls ''very surreal and cool.'')

Being accepted into the Weeds family is Olsen's first real stab at credibility. ''To say that I got to work with those people — with Mary-Louise Parker! — is a great thing,'' she marvels. When series creator Jenji Kohan heard that Olsen was interested in playing the role of Tara, a sly Christian girl new to the neighborhood, she remembers worrying that Olsen's celebrity would be distracting to viewers. But Olsen's ease and chemistry with costar Hunter Parrish during the audition won her over. ''The truth is we're so protective of the show,'' says Kohan. ''We don't stunt-cast. She earned that part. It's weird to say that she's trying to break into the business, because of her status, but she is and she should have her shot. We did have to change our signs, though,'' she says, with an amused sigh. ''When we were on location, we couldn't have Weeds signs up because we would get stalkerazzi.''

There's a reason that Olsen looks so glum in every tabloid shot. ''I don't want my picture taken,'' she says simply. ''The only time I think it's okay is at a red-carpet event or a photo shoot. So every time I see paparazzi, I cover my face so they don't get a picture, and I'm just 'the mean person who doesn't smile.''' To maintain some semblance of privacy, she makes ''conscious decisions every day of my life.'' Don't get out of the car, keep the bodyguards close, steer clear of certain stores, invite friends over for dinner instead of meeting them at a restaurant, stay indoors. ''I would love to be able to swim in the ocean in Malibu,'' she says without bitterness. ''But that is asking for a bikini shot. That's inviting something that I don't want to happen. I don't need to be on a 'Who's Skinny, Who's Fat, Who's Looking Healthy, Who's Not Eating?' list.''

Three years ago, spurred on by the media's tickled horror over her rapidly diminishing figure, Olsen removed herself to a Utah rehab facility in order to treat her anorexia. ''There's definitely been times in my life when I just turned to people and said, 'I'm done, this is too much for me, this is too overwhelming,''' she says. She treats a question about her health today with genuine thoughtfulness. ''Mentally, physically, I feel pretty on top of my game right now,'' she says. ''Talk to me next week, I don't know. Today, I feel good.''

And with that, she stamps out her last cigarette and drapes herself around her interviewer in a girlishly exuberant goodbye hug. Back into the bright world she goes, wobbling away on her giant heels.
